Brandon McGregor is a multi-instrumentalist and Los Angeles native born into a highly musical family. As the fourth-generation in his musician lineage, he has quite literally grown up in the industry, attending his father's stage performances before he could walk and playing with the knobs of studio consoles before he could read.
As a graduate with a Bachelor's degree in guitar performance and composition from California Institute of the Arts, he believes that the magic in music is captured in the fine details.
Through his prolific library of songs, he demonstrates an extensive understanding of music theory combined with technical prowess, weaving together intricate melodies and harmonies in works spanning multiple genres, including: blues, reggae, rock, metal, jazz, pop, classical & musical theatre.
He also specializes in advanced rhythmic concepts and complex time signatures, drawing influence from his study of Tala and Hindustani rhythmic structures.
Brandon catches the details other people will often miss. With the unique combination of high imaginativeness and analytical thinking, he is always forward-looking, functioning well in the hyper-turbulent and ever-changing environment of the music industry.
